Pura Vida Animal Rescue Inc. is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit focused on helping the animals of Hunterdon County NJ and the surrounding area. Pura Vida Animal Rescue has assembled a team of six members. All of which are community-minded, animal-welfare concerned, local business owners, licensed professionals and industry executives with the experience and expertise to lead Pura Vida Animal Rescue to sustainable domestic animal community support. Their combined experience and knowledge in healthcare, legal, and business, and each with roots in the southern portion of Hunterdon County
will be a crucial component of Pura Vida’s success in the under-resourced animal medical and rescue profession.

Pierce is the happy companion of Orson, a rescued 8-year-old retriever. Pierce and Orson both enjoy the beauty of our local trails and public lands, and have equal enthusiasm for the family sofa. Pierce is also a lawyer practicing in estate law in Pennington, NJ.
Dan has been a Bucks County resident for 33 years. He came to Pennsylvania from his hometown of Binghamton NY to attend Villanova University graduating with Bachelor degrees in Economics and Biology. Dan spent 33 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry focused on Clinical Research and Research Operations. He retired in 2020 and looks forward

Carrie has been a resident of the Southern Hunterdon community for 49 years, and holds both Bachelors of Science and Doctorate in Pharmacy from Rutgers University and the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, respectively. Carrie has worked full time in both clinical pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical industry and has held professional leadership roles in the New Jersey Pharmacists Association (NJPhA).
Over the years, Carrie has adopted seven dogs, fostered two and volunteered with local animal rescue organizations. Carrie shares her home with her husband, Brian, her dog Zena, two barn cats Mariposa and Natasha and three hens.
